The aim of this project to to investigate with fMRI how participants with or without depression process pleasurable stimuli, specifically whether this process stimulates the neural structures in the mesolimbic reward system. We are also interested in how specific symptoms of depression affect processing of emotional information. The larger goal is to understand how brain networks subserving cognitive and affective information processing interact and regulate affective information processing.
